Mike Hughes “Doesn’t Believe in Science”.
The 61 year old limo driver claims: “I don’t believe in science, I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that’s not science, that’s just a formula. There’s no difference between science and science fiction.”
In an effort to prove that the Earth is, in fact, actually flat Hughes has spent the last several years, and about $20,000, building a homemade steam-powered rocket. The test launch is scheduled for this Saturday, November 25th near the abandoned town of Amboy, California. Hughes estimates he will fly about a mile and reach a speed of around 500 mph. .
Hughes’ main sponsor for the project is Research Flat Earth; and although this current rocket will no take him high enough in the atmosphere, the eventual goal is to build another rocket that takes into space so that he can snap a picture proving the world is flat.
Hughes also says that after this successful launch he intends to run for governor.
You simply cannot make this stuff up.
