Former UFC Champs Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz on Conor McGregor’s Chances Against Floyd Mayweather

The two former UFC fighters have somewhat differing opinions on the outcome of the fight.

In a recent impromptu discussion at the airport, Chuck Liddell was at least, shall we say, diplomatic about McGregor’s chances:

Well, you know, it’s a show, man… If Conor can get Mayweather to come after him, and feel like he has to knock him out early to prove something, it could be interesting — cause Conor will come from different angles he’s not used to. But, other than that, Floyd is one of the, if not the best, defensive boxers of all time. So that doesn’t leave for a great fight if it goes the way Floyd wants it to.

(In an older interview) Tito Ortiz, on the other hand, was a little more “pessimistic”.

Personally… I don’t think McGregor stands a chance in hell of winning.  He’s gonna eat a bunch of jabs, then Mayweather will play defense, as always.  I just don’t think McGregor is quick enough.
