Cardinals Cut Former First Round Pick

Michael Floyd has been cut by the Arizona Cardinals following his DUI arrest early Monday morning.

According to Darren Urban of, the team decided to part ways with the wide receiver on Wednesday morning.

The former first-round draft pick from Notre Dame is in his fifth NFL season and has never really lived up to his potential.  This latest arrest was the final straw for the Cardinals.

Although he was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next spring, his recent arrest, troubled past, and disappointing performance on the field thus far will most likely keep many teams away.  *Not to mention the suspension that the NFL will hit him with.

Floyd has 242 receptions for 3,739 yards and 23 touchdowns over 76 games played.
